School Board Visits: Listening, Supporting and Investing in Our Schools

As your School Board member, my mission goes beyond policies and meetings—it’s about being present, listening and actively supporting those who make a difference every day. That’s why I have been visiting our schools, walking the halls and spending valuable time engaging with our incredible teachers and staff.

These visits are not just a gesture of support but a genuine effort to understand the day-to-day experiences within our classrooms. I am asking important questions, listening to feedback and gathering insights to ensure our budget decisions prioritize what matters most: keeping our dollars where they make the biggest impact—in our classrooms.

My goal during these visits included:

  • Engaging with Teachers: Hearing directly from educators about their needs, challenges and ideas for enhancing learning environments.

  • Assessing Campus Needs: Identifying opportunities to improve facilities and resources for the betterment of our students and staff.

  • Fostering Collaboration: Building stronger relationships and ensuring our teachers feel valued, heard and supported.

I am committed to making thoughtful, strategic decisions that reflect the needs of our schools. By maintaining this open line of communication, I aim to build a stronger, more resilient district that empowers both students and staff to thrive.
